RECREATIONAL TEAMS
 

F.C. Brighton's Recreational program offers a challenging and supportive environment for youth soccer players to compete throughout the year. Our coaching staff is trained to provide individual and team skills development that is appropriate for each child's interest and ability while maintaining a positive atmosphere that is stimulating physically, mentally and socially.

Under 5/6 & Under 7/8

$70 Per season​​

  • Uniforms are required and must be purchased in addition to registration fees.

  • Team placement can not be guaranteed for late registrants.

Program Details:

  • Season Info:

    • Fall season runs from late August to late October.

      • Registration for the fall season begins in early June and closes mid August.  

    • Spring season runs from late March to late May.

      • Registration for the spring season begins November and closes in late March.​

    • Each season runs 8-9 weeks.

    • Teams participate in one mid-week practice and one mid-week game per week.

    • Midweek games allow families with older Academy and Competitive players to focus on travel games during the weekend

    • Game schedules consist of 8 home games in Brighton.

  • Team info:

    • Recreational teams participate in our in-house league and play against other teams within our club.

    • Under 5 & Under 6 players are grouped together. Under 7 & Under 8 players are grouped together.

    • Teams are co-ed.

    • Players are placed in age brackets based on the birth year.

    • Players advance to the next age group each fall season, therefore all players at the U5 age level in the fall will continue to be in the U5 in the spring.

    • Target roster sizes of 6 max 7.

    • Teams play in a 4v4 format, no goal keepers (occasionally a 3v3 format depending on attendance)

    • Each U5-U8 team will be assigned a parent or community volunteer to coach the team.

      • F.C. Brighton will provide curriculum and mentorship from our Program Director.

      • All of our parent volunteer coaches must submit a background check.

What do player fees cover?

Recreational soccer registration fees are a vital investment in the development of young athletes.​

  • Fees cover essential costs such as

    • Program Director providing curriculum and mentorship to volunteer parent coaches.

    • Colorado Soccer League fees

    • Field rentals

    • Equipment

    • Administrative expenses

These fees ensure that the program can provide a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for youth to develop their soccer skills and passion for the game.

 

  • Why are we changing uniform kits?
    Typically an athletic uniform kit runs on a 2-year contract. This is due to the vendor's ability to guarantee a particular style for a specific amount of time.
  • Are we changing brands?
    No! Our new uniform kit will be Under Armour brand. This means our warm-up kits, backpacks, any practice, coaching, or fan gear will remain the same!!
  • Are we changing vendors?
    Yes! We will be changing to Soccer.com! We are very excited about this change. Soccer.com offers FREE shipping for orders over $99 and FREE returns and exchanges even for items with custom numbers printed. Shipping time will be 5-8 business days. Plus, players ordering uniforms will receive a one-year free Goal Club membership which allows for a 10% discount off soccer.com items outside of our club store.
  • How long will we use this new uniform kit?
    The new kits will carry a two-year contract extending through Spring 2021.
